I'm just a love machine

And I don't work for nobody but you.
I didn't realize it had been so long since I posted! The weather has been crazy here in Texas. They canceled school on Friday because of the snow and I ended up going down to Houston for the weekend. Now that I'm back, I've been working on getting some stuff in my Etsy store in time for Valentine's Day. I posted two necklaces today and got my coin purse frames in today and am currently trying to figure out how they work. It is considerably more difficult to put together than I had anticipated, but I think the end result will be worth it. My pink hyacinth has started to bloom, too! It's the one that Artoo knocked down and chewed up, so I'm surprised it's not dead. I'm very excited about being able to smell it once it's all the way opened up.

  1. Oh my goodness, so cute! I love your etsy shop :) Thank you for the heads up on Shuron glasses! Thanks to my husband, I have an eye appointment for Monday and then I *think* I will order the Nu Lady Deluxe glasses! I do have a few questions! The measurements are confusing. haha and are you happy with your glasses?! I was just going to go for some simple black vintage looking glasses, I never considered clear/black.. i'm nervous!!!

  2. My friend has the Nu Lady Deluxe in black and it looks SO good. Mine are the blue/grey color. For my measurements, I used my previous glasses as a guide. If you look on the inside arm of the frame, it should give you the bridge measurement and the arm length, both of which you need for ordering. I have a pretty small head, so I ordered the smallest size they have available and they fit just fine. I found that the bridge looks like it sits a little high (mainly because how how thick the plastic is on that section) so I was unsure if I had ordered the right size at first. I ended up getting a size larger and while they fit well, they can slide down my nose a little bit. So you really don't have to get the measurement spot on, because there were two sizes that fit me just fine.
I ordered through http://www.simplyeyeglasses.com/ and their customer service is really really good and their prices are the best I could find. I think it ended up coming out to around $130, but I had added options to my prescription lenses.
Keep me posted about the glasses! I always think it's exciting stuff. Getting new glasses is like getting a whole new face.
