I recently bought the kitty cardigan (you can see it here). Normally I mull over decisions to buy things, most of the time ending in me deciding against it, but as soon as I saw the sweater I had to have it! And it's ADORABLE and SO worth it! ModCloth can be pretty pricey, but they currently have a special going on where you can get $20 off your order of $50 or more until October 31st by following the link. Not too shabby. I'm currently trying to figure out what I want to buy with the discount and I'm leaning towards the cat bag. All of my purses have animals on them and it makes me feel like I look like a gigantic toddler (which, let's be honest, isn't too far off) with them, but this one is more sophisticated, I think. That's what I'll tell myself, anyway, because I want to justify getting a kitty bag.

I'm finally starting to get over this monster of a cold I've been having, and spending the past three days laying in bed has left me with plenty of time to browse the internet and make little outfit inspiration posts. My fever has finally gone away, though, and I'm hoping I'll be back in full swing tomorrow so I can make some lemon curd and biscuits (and post the recipes!). I tried to make chocolate chip cookies Friday night, but accidentally forgot the baking soda (I am blaming it on being sick) so I ended up baking two dozen hockey pucks. But, if you actually pay attention to the recipe, this recipe makes some of THE BEST cookies. My cousin made me some with dark chocolate, white chocolate, and butterscotch chips, as well as chopped pecans, and they were the best cookies I've ever had. She also suggested using pistachio pudding instead of vanilla, which I think would be yummy.

Tomorrow is Valentine's day, which means after tomorrow I can't make as many posts with hearts/so much pink as I've been doing in recent weeks. My Valentine this year is my cat! He's the only boy I need. I hope everyone allows themselves to be treated to a little something nice tomorrow. I'm planning on buying myself some Reeses Pieces! They're so good, but I never buy myself candy. I'm waiting to buy the chocolate heart boxes until the day after Valentine's day so I can get them on sale ;-)

Things I Love

Hey look... I actually posted this on a day that starts with T! Today there was a shooting on campus, but thankfully nobody besides the perpetrator was injured. I got a text message at about 8:45 this morning from the UT Alert system saying there was an armed subject in the library, so I didn't go to class today and spent the morning watching everything unfold on the news safe in my apartment. It was pretty crazy. Classes will resume tomorrow.

I can't even get it together enough to make a post on Saturday with all the Caturday gifs I've been saving, and to be honest, when I went to make this post I totally thought today was Tuesday.
